Christmas Decor Ideas 2016 With Lency
So you're done with pumpkins and gourds, but not quite ready for Santas and mistletoes? Yeah, me too! I have a hard time living with Christmas decorations for much more than three or four weeks. I start getting the urge to yank down all that stuff and go back to my clean, less cluttered ways. So going full on Christmas right now isn't really the best option for me. If you need a little breather between fall and Christmas like I do, then when it's time to toss the pumpkins, you'll want something that hints at the holidays without all-out jingle bells and mistletoe.

Every month some blogger friends and I come up with fresh ideas for styling your coffee tables. Today I'll show you my "transitional" table to help you transition smoothly from fall to Christmas decor, and then you can hop on over to the other blogs to see what my talented friends have up their sleeves!
I've come up with this nod-to-the-holidays coffee table arrangement that adds some sparkle and bling to help transition my home from fall pumpkins to holiday sparkles until I'm ready to go full-on with Christmas decorations. Read on for some tricks on how you can make the transition in your own home.
1. Sort through your Christmas decorations, and bring out some of those pretty metallic pieces.
In my case, that meant bringing out these gold and silver Christmas trees. I grouped them on a pretty silver tray for more impact.
You could do the same with other holiday items as well – pinecones, jingle bells, whatever collection you have in holiday stash. Just make sure they stay in the metallic tones.

2. Add in some other metallic pieces or books to further cement the "blingy" theme.
I used this gold spike-y thing (I'm still not sure what its purpose is, but it gold and spikes, and I kinda love it) set atop some books with gold on the covers. While sticking with the metallics theme, the spike and the books help ground the overall table from looking overly holiday-isa.
3. Add other pretty white pieces to your table arrangement.
I'm a sucker for all things light and bright. These vintage vases and the little ceramic angels help keep things feeling light and fresh, but not too Christmas-y. The angels aren't specifically a Christmas decoration, but they give a nod to the holidays for sure. I threw in some dried hydrangeas because I think an organic touch on a coffee table always warms things up.
4. Add some cozy textiles to your surrounding furniture in neutral or gold tones.
The white pillows with gold polka dots that you see on the chairs behind the coffee table stay in my living room most of the time (although they have been known to migrate to the bedroom on occasion). When I don't have a lot of other bling-y things around, they don't feel like the holidays to me. But when other metallic touches are added to the space, they take on a decidedly festive feel!

Gold accented pillows
Here are some pillows with gold tones that seem festive to me, but not strictly Christmas-y. These beauties could be used year round for sure!

And these faux fur pillows are awesome for transition-time decorating. They feel warm and snuggly without shouting holidays, either.
Textural and cozy throws
I also love adding cozy throws to my rooms when chillier days roll in. I've chosen some really beautiful ones below that I think would make your rooms feel warm now and festive when you're ready for festive.
